Harrisburg Sai Seva Samithi is very happy to announce the Rathasapthami celebrations on 27th January from 7:30AM. Devotees can join and participate in the Surya Bhagwan pooja and attain health and happiness.

Surya, the chief of the Navagraha ( the nine Classical planets) and important elements of Hindu astrology, is the main solar deity in Hinduism. He is often depicted riding a chariot harnessed by seven horses which represent the seven chakras in the body. He is also the presiding deity of Sunday.

He is also known as the “pratyakshadaivam” – the only God visible to us every day. The Sun God is “Karma Sakshi”, who has eternal wisdom and knowledge. He is the Source of all life, and it is because of him that life exists. Thanks to the energy from his rays, life on Earth is sustained.

Ratha Saptami :
It is a Hindu festival that falls on the seventh day of the bright half of the Hindu month Maagha. This day is also known as Surya Jayanti because it celebrates the power of the Sun God.

Invoking Sun God on auspicious day of Rathasapthami is known to bring health and prosperity to all.
